Welcome to WetLab Pro. This privacy policy explains how we process data related to your use of the app.

1. Overview

WetLab Pro is a local-first app. By default, your experiment schedules, supplemental logs, images, and related preferences are stored on your device.

The app does not require account registration for core features. Some functions rely on Apple-provided capabilities or services such as notifications, Photos, camera, iCloud, and system calendars.

2. Data We Process

• Experiment schedules, reminders, and template content you create
• Supplemental log text and images you add
• App preferences such as theme mode, iCloud sync state, and system calendar sync state
• Data files involved when you explicitly export, restore, or share content

3. How Data Is Used

• To provide experiment templates, scheduling, reminders, and supplemental logs
• To provide lab tools such as molarity, dilution, molecular weight, and RPM/RCF conversion
• To support export, restore, and local data management
• To sync data across devices when you explicitly enable iCloud sync
• To sync schedule titles, times, note hints, and alerts to your system calendar when you explicitly enable system calendar sync
• To maintain app settings and usability

4. Storage And Sync

By default, relevant data is stored locally on your device.

If you enable iCloud sync, related data may be synchronized across your devices through Apple iCloud. You can disable iCloud sync at any time in settings.

If you enable system calendar sync, the app creates and maintains a lightweight event projection in a dedicated WetLab Pro calendar. Calendar events include only key schedule information, such as title, time, note hint, and alerts; full experiment schedules, records, and images remain in the app. You can disable system calendar sync at any time and choose whether to keep or delete synced calendar events.

5. Data Sharing

• We do not sell personal data
• We do not use third-party ad tracking
• Data may be transferred or written to system services only when you explicitly export, restore, share data, enable iCloud sync, or enable system calendar sync
• We may comply with lawful requests from regulators or authorities when required by law

6. Permissions

• Camera: used to capture supplemental log images
• Photo Library read: used to choose images for supplemental logs
• Photo Library add: used to save exported images to your library
• Notifications: used for schedules and reminder alerts
• iCloud: used only when you enable sync
• Calendars: used only when you enable system calendar sync, to write experiment schedules to your system calendar. The app does not enable calendar sync by default and does not write full experiment records or images to Calendar.

7. Retention And Control

You can delete schedules, supplemental logs, and images in the app. Export and restore actions are user-initiated, and you can disable iCloud sync or system calendar sync at any time. When disabling system calendar sync, you can choose to keep synced calendar events or delete only events created and tracked by WetLab Pro.

8. Minors

If you are a minor, please review and use the app under guidance from your guardian. Guardians should help you understand this policy and make choices when needed.

9. Policy Updates

We may revise this policy based on product changes, legal updates, or compliance requirements. Updated versions will be posted on the public pages or within the app and take effect upon publication.
